# Feratel

## 🏛 Feratel

Feratel handles the official **guest registration (Gästemeldung / Meldewesen)** required for tourist accommodations in Austria and Germany. With the integration active, OkupAI reports your guests' registration data automatically — no manual entry in the Feratel portal.

## 🧾 Prerequisites

Feratel is activated **per property** and requires two identifiers, entered in the **Integrations** fields of [Property Settings](/okupai-platform/properties-and-platforms/property-settings.md):

| Field                 | Meaning                        |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| **Feratel Oestat**    | Your Oestat identifier         |
| **Feratel Betriebnr** | Your business (Betrieb) number |

Ask your local tourism office or Feratel support if you don't know these values. The property's **country** must be Austria or Germany.

## ⚙️ Activating

1. Open the property's detail page and fill in both identifiers.
2. In the **Integrations** card, click **Activate** under **Feratel Integration**.

Before activation, a preflight authorization check is performed. If the check fails, you will receive an error message explaining the issue. Ensure your Oestat and Betriebnr are authorized by Feratel.

The card shows the live status — **Feratel Active** ✅ or inactive. Use **Deactivate** to stop reporting at any time.

## 🔁 How the automatic registration works

The registration follows your guest's stay, fully automatically:

1. Your guest completes **Online Check-In** and consents to the registration.
2. OkupAI **pre-registers** the stay with Feratel (Voranmeldung).
3. Around arrival, the pre-registration is converted into the official **registration form (Meldeblatt)**.
4. On the departure date, the **departure is confirmed** with Feratel.

**What gets transmitted:** the adult guests' names, birth dates, nationalities, addresses, and ID details from Online Check-In, together with the stay dates and your property's Oestat/Betriebnr identifiers. Children under 15 are not individually registered, and guests who decline the consent are skipped.

## 💡 Getting the most out of Feratel

* **Push Online Check-In completion.** The registration can only be as complete as the check-in data — set up an **automatic check-in reminder** so every guest submits their details before arrival.
* **Activate every Austrian/German property.** The identifiers are per property, so repeat the setup for each unit that must report.
* **One-time setup, zero ongoing work.** After activation there is nothing to do per booking — pre-registration, Meldeblatt, and departure confirmation all run automatically in the background.
